What personal data do we collect and why? How do we legally process it?
Contact form for customer product support:
When you submit a contact form on our website, including inquiries about spare parts, to contact our customer support team, we collect the following personal data through the Freshdesk ticket system:
- First and last name, country, language, email address, and any additional personal data shared within the message to TRUST.
- The device used, OS version, and browser are not mandatory.
We process your personal data based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to understand your request and to provide timely and effective customer support.
Please note that, as part of our support process, an AI agent may generate suggested responses to customer support tickets in Freshdesk. These suggestions are currently reviewed by a human employee before being shared with the customer to ensure quality and accuracy.
In the future, the AI agent may autonomously respond to certain inquiries without human review, where appropriate. We will ensure that this is done in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
Contact form for the marketing team:
When you fill in the contact form on our website for the marketing team, we collect the following personal data:
- Name, email address, phone number, country, company, and any additional personal data shared within the message to TRUST.
We process this personal data based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to understand your request and provide timely and effective support.
When you subscribe to our B2B newsletter via the dedicated sign-up form on our website, we collect the following personal data:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Country
This personal data is manually shared with Mailchimp, our third-party email marketing service provider, to facilitate sending newsletters to subscribers.
We process your personal data based on your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you provide actively by ticking the checkbox on the subscription form. In providing this consent, you also confirm that you are at least 16 years old or have obtained consent from your parent or guardian.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included at the bottom of every newsletter email. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of data processing carried out before your withdrawal.
Defective Products and Warranty Handling:
If your product is defective or covered under warranty, please contact the original seller (retailer or online store) directly and provide proof of purchase to facilitate warranty processing.
For products eligible under Trust's extended warranty, we will collect and process the following personal data necessary to handle your warranty claims:

Sales team contact form for companies interested in becoming Trust resellers :
When you apply to become a Trust reseller, we collect the following personal data

We process this data under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, as it is necessary to assess your reseller application and establish a contractual relationship with you.
Log-in request for Trust’s RMA portal (registered resellers only):
When you request the login credentials for the RMA portal as a TRUST reseller, we collect the following data:
- Personal details: Name, email address, and phone number.
- Company details: Name, Trust customer number, address, postal code, city, country, website, and any additional personal data shared within the message to TRUST.
We use these details to grant you access to the RMA portal (portal.trust.com/rmareseller) and ensure the proper execution of our business relationship. This is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, which allows processing when necessary for the performance of a contract.
Social Media:
Our website includes buttons linking to social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram and Youtube.

Trust may interact with users on social media and collect limited personal data in the following specific circumstances:
Team Sponsorships and Trust Gaming Ambassador/Partnership Programs: Trust may reach out to influencers or gamers via social media to explore sponsorship or partnership opportunities. If an agreement is reached, Trust collects personal data—such as contact details, address, and financial information—to draft and execute the necessary contracts, after which the data is securely stored. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
Focus Group Sessions and Online Gaming Events: Trust may use social media to invite individuals to participate in focus groups or online gaming events, collecting personal data needed for registration and communication. This data is used exclusively to manage participation and engagement. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
Promotional Activities: In connection with promotions run through social media, Trust may collect limited personal data (e.g., names or contact information) to manage participation, notify winners, or distribute prizes. - Number of years working experience, highest education, fulltime gross salary expectation monthly
- Other personal data included in the resume, application letter or other relevant application documents provided during the recruitment process.
We collect these details exclusively for recruitment purposes, including assessing your suitability for a role and communicating with you throughout the hiring process. The processing of this data is based on the necessity of taking steps prior to entering into a contract, in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR

Trust collects personal data through the following methods:
a) Directly from you: we collect personal data directly from you when you contact us at pr.nl@trust.com, complete our website contact forms, or register as a reseller, team sponsor, or Trust Gaming Ambassador. We also collect your personal data when you participate in TRUST activities, such as promotional campaigns, focus groups, or online gaming events.
b) Indirectly: we collect personal data indirectly through cookies and similar technologies that gather information about your interactions with the site.
Protecting children’s privacy
We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. Although our services are primarily intended for adults, we recognize that individuals under the age of 16 may also interact with our website or participate in specific (gaming) activities.

Data sharing with third parties
TRUST engages third-party service providers to support its operations, including customer support, marketing, analytics and website optimisation. These providers are contractually bound to handle personal data in compliance with strict data processing agreements, which include appropriate Technical and Organisational Measures (TOMs).
The following service providers currently process personal data on behalf of TRUST:
- Freshdesk – Used by the customer support and marketing teams to manage contact form submissions.
- MailChimp – Employed for email marketing and communication campaigns.
- Google – Provides services such as Google Analytics and Google Ads. These tools are used to analyse website usage, deliver targeted advertising, and measure the effectiveness of marketing activities. Data may be collected through cookies or similar technologies.
- Meta– Used for advertising and remarketing purposes through tools like the Meta Pixel, enabling TRUST to deliver relevant ads and analyse marketing performance. Data may be collected via cookies or similar technologies
- Neople – Supports customer support teams by generating AI-based response suggestions.In certain circumstances, TRUST may be legally obligated to disclose personal data to regulatory or law enforcement authorities. Where possible and lawful, TRUST will make reasonable efforts to notify affected individuals of such disclosures.
International data transfers
In the course of its operations, TRUST may transfer personal data to service providers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States. Such transfers occur when using third-party providers for customer support, analytics, and marketing activities.
To ensure these international transfers are lawful and compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), TRUST implements appropriate safeguards:
- Meta Platforms, Inc. and Google LLC are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which provides an adequate level of protection as recognised by the European Commission.
- Freshworks Inc. and The Rocket Science Group LLC (MailChimp) rely on the European Commission's 2021 Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), incorporating supplementary safeguards as necessary.
TRUST assesses the risk associated with each transfer and ensures that personal data continues to benefit from a level of protection essentially equivalent to that guaranteed within the EEA. These measures reflect TRUST's commitment to data protection, transparency, and compliance with Articles 44–49 of the GDPR.
Security of your personal data
TRUST takes the security of your personal data seriously and implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include physical safeguards, secure IT systems, encryption protocols, access controls, and internal policies governing data handling and confidentiality. We regularly review and update our security practices to ensure a high level of protection in line with industry standards and legal requirements.
Data retention periods
At TRUST, we are committed to retaining your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. The table below outlines the standard retention periods for different categories of data:
- Contact Forms (Customer Support / Marketing):Once a support request is closed and no longer needed, any associated personal data is deleted. We retain ticket data to enable year-over-year comparisons and for internal reporting purposes.
- Newsletters: Data is retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
- Promotional Activities (e.g. contests, surveys): Personal data is deleted upon conclusion of the activity, unless you are selected as a winner, in which case additional retention may apply to fulfil legal or contractual obligations.
- Focus Group Sessions and Gaming Events: Personal data is deleted after the event. However, demographic data and recordings may be retained for up to one year for internal analysis and reporting purposes.
- Job Applications: Personal data is deleted three months after the recruitment process ends, unless you have consented to future consideration, in which case your data may be retained for up to one year.
- Sponsorship Agreements: Personal data is deleted upon termination or expiry of the contractual relationship.
In exceptional circumstances, TRUST reserves the right to retain personal data for a longer period if required to fulfil legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, or resolve ongoing issues.
